Week 17

Thank you parents for taking the time to come in on Wednesday to talk about your child as a learner. It is a wonderful time of year to celebrate our children and how much they have grown in their learning and understanding.

The students have brought home their portfolios to celebrate their learning with you. Please enjoy the time to share this over the holiday. We would like the portfolios to be returned to school after the holiday so that the students can continue to add to their learning as we begin Term 2.

We are always excited when our parents come to visit in class, whether it is sharing their expertise or passions with us, reading to us or cooking with us! On Tuesday we were very excited to welcome Ms Anja (Charlotte's mom), who shared her passion with us. Anja's passion is combining MAGIC with Community Service to bring joy to the less fortunate in society.  We also learned that we can bring joy to patients in hospital and to the less fortunate in our community by visiting, singing, dancing, performing, making and giving small presents, but of course her favourite is MAGIC! We enjoyed all her magic tricks, and even had a chance to do our own magic tricks! THANK YOU ANJA!

Thank you to all our K2AvS students and families for giving so generously to our Giving Tree. We will make many hearts very happy these holidays.

Our class party and K2 Disco was another highlight this week.... We ate, danced, sang, and had a very happy end to the first half of our school year. Thank you so much to Angela, Mel and Shimret for taking the lead to once again organise a wonderful day for us, with many surprises of delicious treats and very exciting activities! Thank you also to our wonderful parents who are always willing and ready to give so much of their time, love, care and support to provide all the wonderful goodies.

Sneha thank you for sharing your birthday with us on this special day. Happy Birthday!

A HUGE THANK YOU to our lovely students and wonderful parents for the lovely Xmas gifts. Ms Nora and I will enjoy going on a shopping spree.

Thank you for all the generous contributions. We have made the cleaning aunties, staff at facilities, security staff and Ms Cheryll very happy today.

We are now all ready for a well deserved holiday. Enjoy quality time with family and friends. Make sure to take time to rest, and we wish our friends who are away from home safe travels over the holiday period. Seasons Greetings, and looking forward to seeing you all back in January 2016!
