Week 38

"The greatest gift we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence."

This week was filled with singing, dancing, performing, painting, creating and preparing ourselves for the Arts Festival.

.... and we even got to go to the Recording Studio in the Music Department to record our song for the Arts Festival. What an amazing place to be!

There is always a "first" for everything. This week Ms V and the class celebrated Glamour's birthday. For those friends who don't know, Glamour is a cuddly toy, loved by all in K2AvS! Thank you to Hana for bringing in delicious treats to make Glamour's day extra special. :)
Ms V said : "In all my years of teaching this is the first time ever I have a celebration in class for cuddly toys." And everyone in K2AvS started laughing!

Thank you to Soenke (Charlotte's Dad) for being our Mystery Reader this week. We enjoyed listening to the story and learned that we should reach out to one another and always include friends when we play.

Notes and Reminders:

Please send in a black pants and t-shirt for our Arts Festival production by Monday, May 9th. Thank you to students who have already brought in their clothes.

ARTS FESTIVAL WILL TAKE PLACE ON MAY 13th, at 9:00 am IN THE AUDITORIUM.

Please send in the reply slip and $12.00 for our field trip to Playeum.  Thank you!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL OUR AMAZING MOMS! HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY ON SUNDAY!
